Hi! I’m Orin Be. I am a Stand up Comedian, Comedy Writer, and overall weirdo. As of late, this site is under construction so don’t get your panties in a bunch if you catch a typo / mistake… Anyways, Welcome! I’m glad you could make it!
Even though I always wanted to be a comedian, I got my start in finance. Lucky for you, I hated it. I figured, “I can either be a really weird guy that works in finance, or I can be a comedian that is really good at finance.” Finally, I thought- “Why not?” and gave finance the boot. I’m a born and bred Jersey boy (Not the Jersey shore kind though)- grew up 15 minutes outside of Philly where I got my start in sketch comedy around 2008. After about 2 years- it was ready to try on my stand up hat.
Since then, I’ve performed and promoted shows around the Tri-State area, attended Stand up classes at Helium, The Comedy Cellar, and The American Comedy Institute. In 2016 I moved to Denver, CO to see what the comedy scene had to offer. Since, I’ve started two comedy shows that have both been a success!
In addition to Stand up, I am experienced in Strategic Marketing and planning, SEO, website management, and Finance. I’ve worked as a bartender, a cashier, a cook, and warehouse work to name a few. I have led a double life in the bar and restaurant business since I was a teen. If anything, it has made me well rounded and able to get along with everyone- (hopefully) my jokes reflect that. What keeps me going is my high drive, organization, drama free, easy going, and always looking to collaborate attitude. Doesn’t stop there, I have experience in event Hosting and management, Mentoring, Writing, MC, Film, and Stage.
